Newspaper Nail Art!
Like every typical girl, I love painting my nails and trying out fun prints and patterns! When I spotted a picture of this design on another blog I fell in love with it and just had to try it out for myself.. So I put together this little post to show you how I did it and how you can recreate the design for yourself! :-)
What it takes:
♥ A base colour (prefferabley a pale one as it works best. I used Barry M's Blue Moon 317)
♥ 10 strips of newspaper (I actually used ripped up pages from my RE books after my exam hehe!)♥ A top coat
♥ Alcohal/spirit eg vodka
Method:
1- Apply your base colour and wait for it to dry
2- Pour the alohal into a small glass (you don't need a lot) and dip a nail into it, ensuring that the whole nail is wet
3- Quickly press a strip of the newspaper on top (ensuring the words are directly on the nail!) and hold for about 30 seconds. Try not to move it in case it smudges!
4- Gently peel off the paper
5- You should now have a backwards print of the writing on your nail! Repeat on each nail and then apply the top coat to finish off
Aaaand you're done! I really like this design and hope you found this tutorial useful. Feel free to let me know if you tried it in the comments or do a blog post in response as I'd love to see what you come up with!
